G'Day and welcome to this weeks news from the Bowlie.
TWILIGHT BOWLS.
Last Wednesday saw the last competition game to the current series, the winners on the night were SUPER BEES, with the runners up UNITING CHURCH.
Thursday night will be Presentation night, with the prizes given for first and second place, it will also be a FREE night so all the teams are asked to come and make it a great big happy end to the season.
SUNDAY JACKPOT BOWLS.
21 players fronted for a great mornings game, the jackpot was not won and now stands at $720 this Sunday.
SOCIAL BOWLS.
Thursday afternoon saw 26 bowlers on the greens, with 11 lucky players receiving either a ham or cake on the whim of the machine. A couple of results from the day, John Dunn and Graham Barby had a good win over Mike Valentine and Col Mudie 20/15 and John Keogh and John Corcoran had a close win over Geoff Freeman and Col Hayward 18/16, great to see you back on deck Geoff.
Saturday afternoon saw 40 bowlers on the green, in the Annual Youngsters verse Oldies battle (up to 65/over66), this turned out to be a mighty struggle with the Youngsters having to only borrow one Oldie to even up the numbers. A good move Wally Grant, as you were on the winning side. The final scores being Youngsters 5-1/2 wins 211 shots, to the oldies 4-1/2 wins 200 shots. The winning skips on the young side were Steve Turner, Brett Frame, Liz Byrne, Tom Casey, and Glenn Pepper. And the winning skips for the oldies being Col Hayward, Graham Barby, Terry Hetherington and John Corcoran, with Greg Fisher and Arthur Corbett fighting out a draw.
A couple of results from the games, Terry Rowney and Greg Fisher 21 drew with Merv Hennock and Arthur Corbett 21. Ron Fisher and Graham Barby 23 beating Dave Johnson and Mick Craft 21 and Ron Murray and Terry Hetherington beating Bernie Mitchell and Greig Ball 18/14.
This Saturday will see the Annual West verse East Contest, please put your names on the list on the board in the bar. The dividing line is the Newell Highway (Bogan St.). Members are also reminded that the Presentation of Club Championship Prizes will follow the game so everyone who won an event throughout the year is asked to attend. The Champion Post Photographer will be in attendance to record the event, so everyone is asked to wear their club uniform. This will also be the end of the Mufti Trial, so from now on the club uniform is to be worn every Saturday Afternoon.
GENERAL NEWS.

So put nominations, both on the list on the board and on the envelope, together with the entry fee, in the box at the bar.
