Easter Tooheys Mini Carnival

G'day, and welcome to this weeks news from the Bowlie.
TWILIGHT BOWLS.
Last Wednesday saw the last game of this Competition, this was a free night plus presentations to the winners, 44 bowlers fronted for a last hurrah, the winners of the night were Casey Surveying, runners up being We Wreckem & We Fixem but the big winners of the 10 week competition were as follows, in Pool A, winners Thrown Together, runners up High Rollers, and in Pool B the winners were Good Question, runners up Back Trundle Road.
A new competition will commence in approx. mid October, check the paper later in the year for more details.
Congratulations to all the teams, the Bowling Club hopes you all had a great time, see you all later in the new Competition.
SOCIAL BOWLS.
Thursday afternoon saw 20 bowlers on the green, with the winners being Greig Ball and Bruce Orr, the runners up Tom Hamilton and Col Hayward.
Saturday saw the Tooheys Sponsored Mini Carnival, 10 teams fronted for a great days Carnival, comprising Singles and Triples, Two games of pairs and ending with a game of Fours, The winners on the day were the Keith MacRae team of Keith, Dave Worthington, Wally and Maree Grant, with 5 wins plus 33.Second place went to the team of Arthur Corbett,Robert Corbett,Paul Henry & Cherie Frame. Third place to the team of Brett Frame,Graham Fliedner,Rhona Went & Liz Byrne and Fourth place went to Steve Turner,Dave Johnson,Wally Austin & Elaine Miller. Congratulations to all the winners, and to the other teams who made it a great day.
SUNDAY JACKPOT BOWLS.
Being Easter Sunday, only 6 players fronted, the jackpot did not go off, so $380 this Sunday.
PENNANTS.
Being Easter, no Pennant games were played, but this Sunday The Sevens go to Condobolin for a do or die game, Condo is leading the group, and we have to put a good show to stay in the running for a flag, we will put last weeks loss to Forbes out of our minds, so watch out Condo.
Our Sixes start their campaign this Sunday they are away to Forbes, and we hope they start off with a bang, good luck to you all.
GENERAL NEWS.
The Club Singles and Pairs are in full swing, this Saturday the Third round of the Major Pairs, and the Second round of the Minor Singles are set down to be played.
13th April, the Second round of the Major Singles, and the Third round of the Minor Pairs are set down to be played, remember, these events can be played any time leading up to the play by date, so take advantage of the good weather, and play them early.
