STATE SENIORS CHAMPIONSHIP
Two Parkes bowlers contested the finals of the State Seniors Championship in both singles and pairs at East Maitland.
Col Hayward won his way into the final of the singles. Unfortunately he was narrowly defeated in the final 31-27.
Being runner-up in a state event is still a great achievement and Col has to be congratulated on his effort.
Col teamed with Graham Barby to contest the pairs. Unfortunately they were narrowly beaten in the first round, going down 21-16 to a very strong team from Beresford.
