G,Day and welcome to this weeks news from the Bowlie.
Well a new year dawns, I hope everyone had a great festive season and are now bright eyed and Bushy tailed rearing to go bowling into the year.
SOCIAL BOWLS.
Despite the extreme heat a bunch of dedicated, (mad) bowlers fronted up for bowls on both last Thursday and Saturdays social bowls.
Thursday saw 24 bowlers on the green with the winners being Ray Jones and John Corcoran, the runners up being Noel Nicholson and John Ward. While Saturday saw only 12 brave souls on the green with the temperature hovering about 43 degrees, it makes one wonder about the dedication to bowls our men have.
