Here's the latest from the Bowlie.
TWILIGHT BOWLS
42 bowlers enjoyed the final night before Xmas. It was a free non- competition night and everyone enjoyed the hot dogs delivered by Tom Furey to the greens as well as the usual after game sausage sizzle. A great night was had by all in an atmosphere that had a real feel of Xmas
The results had no bearing on the final outcome of the Competition however the games finished as follows.
The Uniting Church and the Jack Offs game was very evenly contested and ended in a 9 all draw with the Jack Offs winning 7 of the 12 ends played to claim victory.
The Battlers led Elle 7 - 6 after 8 ends before Elle scored 7 shots on the next 3 ends to lead 13 – 7. The Battlers tried hard on the last end but only managed 3 shots with Elle winning the match 13- 10.
Bowlsbros played Central West Glass and were trailing 4 – 11 after some great bowling by Central West Glass in the first 9 ends. In a storming finish Bowlsbros scored 6 shots on the last 3 ends to go down by only 1 shot 10 - 11
Other winning teams were Casey Surveying, Rok - FM, Purple People and Loopy Loppers 2.
Overall the best team results for the pre- Xmas competition were Loopy Loppers 2 with 6 wins and +43 shots, followed by Casey Surveying with 5 Wins and +56 shots and Purple People with 5 Wins and +54 shots.
Tom Furey and Dave Johnson are to be congratulated on the great job they have done since taking over the organisation of the Twilight Bowls and they have a great team of helpers, especially the “Master Chefs” Bob Riseborough and Col Mudie. A big “thank you” to all involved.
The post-Christmas competition will commence with a free night on Thursday January 14 and we look forward to seeing all the teams returning and hopefully a few new ones.

WORKING BEE
A working bee was held on Sunday, December 20, to renovate the Tiff Dwarf No. 2 green. Many thank s to all those who turned up to help out in this major task. The green will be out of action for some time and will be missed by most of the Bowlers, especially those that prefer a faster green, however, a lot of work has been put in to the No.1 and No. 3 greens and I am sure they will keep everybody happy until the No. 2 green comes back in to play
