Last Sunday week we held the David Little and Neville Trainer sponsored Mini Carnival.10 teams took to the greens in a happy mood to do battle for the prize money
the winning team on the day was Team Barby, well done Graham.
Also on Sunday the club Blue Challenge team went on a road trip to Dubbo
To do battle with West Dubbo no. 1 and 2 teams, unfortunatly we lost both games,
So we are out of the challenge, maybe next year.
Thursday afternoon social bowls saw 20 players front the starter, with the winners beingTom Cole and Dean Searl with a win 22/20 over Greg Davies and John Hodge,Runners up being Bill Wyatt and Phil Collins.
This will be Phil’s last game with us as he is heading up to Lauretin to be a Gentleman of Leisure,Although his wife may have something to say about that,Anyway all the best Phil, hope you have a spare room handy.
Saturday afternoon social bowls was a small affair as seven or eight teams went to Eugowra,For their big tournament,so the bulk of the saturday players were absent.
However three games were played,Ken Walsh and John Carr were too good for Noel NicholsonAnd Ray Jones 26/14, Paul Henry and Gary McPhee had a good win against Dave Johnston and Tom Casey 28/10,And the triples game went to Bernie Mitchell Col Woods and Merv Hennock over Tom Cole Ron Murray and Alan Affleck 21/18.
