DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Parkes Railway/ Diggers Club hosted the District Pairs Championships over the weekend. Parkes Bowling and Sports Club were well represented and produced three of the four Semi- finalists. The team of Brett Frame and Graham Fliedner advanced to the Final after a close match with the team of Michael Went and Tom Casey. The other Semi-final was won by Condobolin over the Parkes pair of Joe Davies and Tom Furey.
The final was a very close match with only a shot between the teams most of the time and the scores were tied after fifteen ends. Condobolin gradually built a lead and going in to the last end Brett and Graham were four shots behind.
During the last end Brett and Graham held the four shots they need to force a draw but eventually Condobolin won the end and The Championship.
Congratulations to Condobolin and also all the Bowlers from Parkes especially Brett and Graham and the other Semi-finalists.
The District Seniors Pairs and Presidents Pairs were also played on the weekend and the results will be available next week.
