Minor Triples Decided

G'Day, and welcome to this weeks news from the Bowlie.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES.
The Finals of the Minor Triples was played last Saturday, and the team of Tom Hamilton, John Hodge and Greg Fisher, had a good win over Dave Johnson, Craig Henry and Paul Henry 36/15. So Team Fisher is now the Club Champions for the Minor Triples,congratulations fellers.
SOCIAL BOWLS.
Thursday afternoon saw 24 bowlers on the Greens with the winners being John Hodge and John O'Malley and the runners up being Norm Keane and Warren Bevan.
A couple of results from the day, Norm Keane and Warren Bevan beat Bruce Deland and John Corcoran 26/23 and in a much closer game, John Hodge and John O'Malley beat Tom Cole and Col Mudie 19/18.
Saturday Afternoon saw 20 Bowlers on the Green on a cold, windy,but fine day. And the winners were a triples team of Mick Valentine, Gary McPhee and Kev Hynds.
SUNDAY MORNING JACKPOT BOWLS.
12 Players fronted on Sunday Morning, the winners on the day being Mick Holland, Mal Porter and Kev Hynds. The jackpot was not won, so $360 next week .
SUNDAY AFTERNOON MIXED MUFTI.
Only 4 players fronted on a fine Sunday Afternoon, for a game of pairs.The players knocked off early so they could watch the Green Machine beat the Sharks, sorry Wally better luck next year.Members are reminded that social mixed mufti bowls will be played EVERY Sunday afternoon, names in by 12.30pm for a 1pm start, either be at the Club or phone up to nominate.
GENERAL NEWS.
By the time you read this the A.G.M. will have been held, so there will be more on the results next week.
There is still time to nominate a team for the Mixed Pairs to be held on the weekend of 22/23 September. So please get a team together, put your entry in the blue book and get ready for a great weekend.
