G,Day. and welcome to this weeks news from the Bowlie.
DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Both the Champion of Champions, Singles and Pairs were played at the Bowlie on the Weekend,In the Singles event the young Jake Atkinson from Condoblin took on Brett Frame from the Parkes Bowlie, in a very exciting game Jake took it right up to Brett, but unfortunately Brett was too strong, winning 31/19, so Brett is now the 2013 Champion of Champions Singles Winner and will go on to Dubbo later to play for the Zone Title.
In the Champion of Champions, Pairs event the Forbes pair of S Andrews and J Andrews took on the Condobolin Pair of I Thomas and B Byrnes. In this game the Forbes pair went to a big lead, but on the 10th End dropped a 6, this put Condo right back into the game, and on the 14th end the scores were equal, they then went end for end until disaster struck on the 20th end when Condo dropped a 7, this put Forbes back in the lead, and then winning the final end to win the title 28/20, Congratulations to both winners on their great wins.
