Here is the latest from the bowlie.
No.2 PENNANTS TEAM.
Our No.2 Pennants team did us all proud on the weekend but sadly did not get through the preliminary rounds.
On Friday we suffered a fairly heavy loss to a very professional side from Raymond Terrace. We had a good win against Sawtell on the Saturday morning and played very well on Saturday afternoon but went down narrowly to Northmead, losing 45-51. Northmead went on to the finals but were beaten by Ocean Shores.
It was a great achievement getting to the State Finals and here’s hoping we can go one better next year.
Congratulations to all the members who played Pennants in all three grades this year and I’m sure they would join me in saying thank you to the Selectors who do a great (but tough) job throughout the season. Also many thanks to the three team managers, Liz, Pat and Gwenda, who put in a lot of time and effort to ensure that things run smoothly on the days we play.
SOCIAL BOWLS.

Badge Draw.
The Badge Draw was not won on Friday might and is worth $1,400 this week and will be drawn on Friday night after the raffle, shortly after 8.00 PM. Good “Pub style” meals are available so come along for a great night and a chance to win the badge draw or a meat tray or voucher.
