Pennants
The No.1 pennant side suffered a heart breaking loss at the hands of Dubbo Railway on Sunday. Despite winning two rinks to one they still went down on the big board 58- 49. Playing in wet windy conditions, Dane Bland led his side in fine style leading from the front they won 13-11, also showing good form was Robert Corbett and his side as they led all the way for a fine 20-16 win. Unfortunately Jim Buckley’s side struck very strong opposition and went down 16-31. The side will travel to Nyngan this week and need to win to keep in touch with the leaders.
The No4 side played Bourke on Saturday afternoon and were soundly beaten on all rinks going down 6-0; there are no scores available so i am unable to give rink results.
On Sunday with the heavy rain in town all pennant matches were washed out, the fours, sixes and sevens were due to play home matches.
