G Day,welcome to this weeks ramblings from the Bowlie,
BUSINESS HOUSE BOWLS,
WEDNESDAY Night saw Poets Corner come up trumps,edging out We Know How,a couple of close games from the night,Auto Bots and The Headless Chooks had a thrilling 18 all draw,with Auto Bots winning the ends 9/8,and High Rollers got over Pulsars with a four on the last end to win 16/14.
THURSDAY NIGHT. North Parkes Boulders had a good win over Three Amigo's 19/11 to win on the night, and the runners up were the Bushies over Elle 16/8, a couple of other scores on the night, Thrown Together had a good win over We Wreck Em 17/10, and Revamped had a win over Telescope Tyres 17/13.
SOCIAL BOWLS.
Thursday afternoon saw 14 bowlers on the green,with the winners being the triples game of Gordon Dickson Terry Hetherington and Graham Barby with a good win over Allan Tolhurst John Ward and Ray Jones 29/20. another close game on the day saw Wally Grant and Eddie McPhee go down to Mick Valentine and John Corcoran 22/23. "Corky" got a 2 on the last end to sneak in front to win.
Saturday saw a good rollup of 26 bowlers,with the winners being Mick Craft and Eddie McPhee over Gordon Dickson and Mark Dwyer. A close game on the day was Mick Valentine and Keith MacRae drawing with Steve Turner and Ted Wright 19 all
Sunday Morning saw only 6 bowlers on parade to try for the Jackpot,which was not won.
GENERAL NEWS.
Tonight the finals of both the Mixed Pairs and Mixed Fours will be played,
Elle Hetherington and Col Hayward will be doing battle with Joan Simpson and Tony Bright,both teams came off big wins in the semis, so it will be who plays better on the night.
The Mixed Fours will see Pam MacRae Paul Henry Cherie Frame and Robert Corbett playing Marg Hawkins Col Mudie Margaret Gray and Graham Barby,this should also be a great battle, so come on down for a great night of bowls
Handicap Singles nominations are now open, entries close 6PM Thursday 17th and the games will be played over the weekend of 19 and 20 Nov.
Also on Saturday our club will be hosting the Zone playoff of the Silver Challenge,between Young and Narromine,so its all happening this weekend.
