Classic Triples Weekend

SOCIAL BOWLS.
Last Thursday saw 28 bowlers take to the greens,
The winners being Dave Button and Greig Ball,
The runners up being Bruce Deland and Graham Barby.
A couple of close games being Stan Wright and Col Mudie
Beating Alan Tolhurst and Arthur Corbett 17/15,
And Dave Buggie and Brett Frame beating Norm Keane and Keith MacRae 20/19
There was no social bowls on Saturday due to the Classic Triples Carnival.
BUSINESS HOUSE BOWLS.
Wednesday night saw Back Trundle Road getting the prize money from Pulsars,
Unfortunately I don’t have the cards, so I cant give any scores.
Thursday night saw RTA In swingers winning, and the runners up being Thrown Together.A couple of close games on the night being RTA In swingers beating Elle 16/15
And Thrown Together in a close one over Villagers 11/8.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS.
There were four games of Mixed Pairs played on Wednesday night
Joan Simpson and Tony Bright beating Chris Dunn and Pat Cooney 20/17.
Julie Hamilton and Keith MacRae beating Helen Heraghty and John Corcoran 21/15
Gwenda Carty and Paul Henry beating father and daughter pair of Maree and Wally Grant 19/14.And finally Elle Hetherington and Col Hayward in a good win over Kath Hutchinson and Mick Craft 19/17.
PARKES CLASSIC TRIPLES.
Over the weekend 24 teams from around the Central West and a couple from Sydney, took part in five games of Triples, three on Saturday and two on Sunday.
This Tournament was Sponsored by the following great businesses from Parkes,the major sponsor being North Parkes Mine,Hutchinson and Pearce,Parkes Hydraulic Services, Furniture One, and Scott Page Smash Repairs.

At the end of day one Russell Dietrich’s team from Forbes was leading with 3 wins plus 39,Followed by R Wise team from Belrose with 3 wins plus 23.
However things changed somewhat after the first game on Sunday. which saw the Belrose loose their game ,and Mick Went winning his,And leapfrogging into second place,At the end of the day the winners were,Russell Dietrich team from forbes 5 wins plus 76,Mick Went team from Parkes bowling and Sports Club 5 wins plus 32,Putting them into second place.Third place, another P.B.S.C. team in the form of John Corcoran with 41/2 wins plus 29,Fourth place R wise team from Belrose 4 wins plus 29,And fifth place, Brett frames Team with 4 wins plus 20.
Congratulations to all the winners ,and all other teams for making the weekend a great success.
This coming Saturday, is a mufti day and bring a friend day, so if you know of someone who would like to have a game please encourage them to come along for the afternoon.
On Sunday 5th November, we are holding the Greig Ball and Ron Murray sponsored two bowl Handicap Triples afternoon,the team must have a handicap of at least 17,so please organize a team and enter it in the blue book.
