CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS.
On a lovely Sunday afternoon, Col Hayward and Brett Frame met to decide the winner of the Major Singles, both these players have both won this event in the past, so they did battle before a large crowd. in a very tense and tension filled game,Baldy shot off to a 9/4 lead at the 8th end, and was leading 14/6 at the 14th end. but then Col started to fight back, and in a game that went to 36 ends,Baldy finally hit the 31 shot mark, to win the Major Singles for the 5th time with a 31/26 win, congratulations to both players for a great effort.
Also played on the afternoon, was a Major Triples game between Ray Jones(subbing for Geoff Freeman) Graham Barby and Graham (Flip) Fliedner against Mick Craft
Peter McPhee and Tony Bright, in this game team Fliedner were slow out of the blocks, and at the 7th end were down 9/1, but then also hit their straps and shot ahead to win comfortably by 23/14. Again congratulations to both team for a great game
