CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
In a high quality Minor Singles Quarter Final match Greg Townsend played Peter McPhee. Greg held an early 12-6 lead before Peter won the next two ends to level at 12 all. The rest of the match saw them neck to neck with the lead not being greater than three shots. The last 11 ends saw the score level on four occasions. Peter scored two shots to lead 30-28. The penultimate end saw Peter holding match only for Greg to play a match saving bowl to win the end and trail by just one shot. On the last end Greg held three shots and match. With his last bowl, Peter played a brilliant draw bowl to win the end and claim the match 31-29. This was a match neither player deserved to lose.
