CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS.
The only Championship match played this week was a Handicap Singles Semi-Final between Graham Barby and Steve “Nimo” Mills. On handicap Steve got three shots start but Graham won the first three ends to lead 7 – 3. Steve won four of the next six ends and after nine ends the scores were level at 10 all. Steve then pulled away and after fourteen ends he held a handy lead, 18 – 11. Graham fought back and after twenty one ends trailed Steve by two shots 21 – 23. On the twenty second end Graham looked to have scored the four shots he needed for victory but after a measure it was only three shots. On the next end Graham scored the shot he needed to win the match and advance to the Final.
