Published by Johnny Perella in Bowls Notes • 5/7/2011 10:53:43 AM
Not a great weekend for our pennant sides with most suffering heart breaking losses.
The No1 side was comprehensively beaten at West Dubbo, losing all three rinks to a very determined local side.

The No4 team had a win and a loss on the western road trip, they Won 5-1 on Saturday at Cobar with Rob Tinker and John Corcoran’s sides having fine wins.
On Sunday at Bourke John Corcoran’s side continued the great form but with the two other sides narrowly beaten, they went down by just one shot 64-65.

The No7 boys could manage only a draw on one of the rinks and went down to the strong Condobolin side 44-74.

Carrying the day was the No6 side as they scored a very impressive three rinks 85 – 39 win over Peak Hill at Parkes.
All sides showed good form with Terry Hetherington’s side winning 32- 9; Bruce Orr and his boys won 28-11, while having to work a little harder Ted Wright side won 26 – 19.

This week the No1 and No4 sides will have a week off but the other two sides will have to play wash out matches on Saturday. The sevens will play Peak Hill and the sixes will be at home to Forbes.
