G'Day, and welcome to this weeks news from the Bowlie.
This has been a terrific week for our club. On Saturday, Graham Barby and Col Hayward won the Zone Senior Pairs and on Sunday Col Hayward fronted up and won the Zone Senior Singles, this is a great result and congratulations to both players, we are proud of you.
One game of Major Triples and two games of Minor Triples were played over the weekend, in the Major Triples game, Craig Cusack, Mick Went and Robert Corbett were far too good for Wally Grant, Mark Dwyer and Joe Davies, winning 35/18.
In the Minor Triples games, Peter McPhee, Gary McPhee and Steve Ryan were too good for Tony Byrne(sub) Steve Mills and Bernie Mitchell, winning 29/14 and in the other game, this being a much closer score, Alan Affleck, Joe Crowley and Norm Keane had a hard fought win over Ron Murray, George Boatswain and Terry Hetherington 25/22.
The final of the Minor Triples is set down for tomorrow, With Team Crowley playing Team McPhee for the title.

The A.G.M. for the Mens Bowling Club is set down for Monday Night 5th August at 7pm, all positions are now open for election, so if you feel you can offer something to the club, please nominate for a position. This is the first time the Mens Club will be holding their A.G.M. as a separate event to the Main Club, so we hope for a big turnout to make it a success.
This Sunday we are are going to Peak Hill for an afternoons game of social bowls, it is a mixed Mufti day and every one is welcome to come along and knowing the Peak Hill Club we will be made most welcome. Please put your name on the list on the board in the Bar.
The Club will be holding its Christmas in July, on the 6th of July, Christie and Michael Green (Fire and Ice) will be entertaining us and our new caterers "Windmills" will be supplying the meal. This is usually booked out, so get your tables together and book in early.Cost is only$25/head.
